"I was a teammate of Jarred’s in the Netherlands during one season and working together was a great experience. Seeing Jarred’s work ethic and discipline everyday it made it very clear why he’s played 10 successfull years of professional basketball overseas. Jarred’s commitment to training and taking care of his body with nutrition and recovery, as well as his resilient mindset make him a great mentor for other aspiring basketball professionals looking to take their game to the next level. Jarred was one of the leaders on our team and did a great job leading vocally and by example. His passion for mentoring and expertise makes him an excellent resource for athletes looking to improve their game and navigate the complexities of playing overseas."

"I have had the pleasure to know, be friends with, compete against & compete with Jarred since high school. To me & the guys who graduated around the similar time, he was the pioneer of being a professional basketball player from Manitoba. He showed us what it was like to be a professional in every sense of the word. From the countless unseen hours of hard work, to taking care of your mind & body off the court - he never cheated himself or the game. During the summers of my professional career, Jarred & I trained at the same gym. He never hesitated to answer any questions I had or share his experiences with me. As great as a competitor he is on the court, he is an even better person off the court; Which I believe paid dividends to what he has been able to accomplish. He truly is a stand up guy & someone I’m proud of to stand in his corner.

“Jarred is a hard worker and a great competitor. He took leadership in the toughest moments of the season to help our team win the Danish championship trophy in the 21-22 season. His mental toughness helps him face adversity on and off the court which allowed him to help mentor some of our younger players. He was the ultimate professional when it came to his attitude, his preparation for both practice and games and he quickly became another coach on the floor for our team. After three years we still keep in touch which is a testament to the kind of person he is and his genuine care for people he has worked with. I am truly blessed to be a little part his successful career. “

"I’ve gotten to know Jarred over the last few years and I can say without a doubt that he is the most professional guy I’ve met on and off the floor. Nobody works as hard he does on perfecting his craft from being the first one in the gym to being the last to leave. I was a teammate of Jarred’s for one season and I have also worked out with him during the summer and being able to pick his brain about ways I can improve my game and learning some of the nuances of life overseas as an professional athlete has been very enlightening. Jarred is the type of guy that when he puts his mind to something he’s going to be the best at it and he’s someone I think a lot of athletes can learn from."

"Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson is the ultimate professional. I played with Jarred for two seasons and besides his natural talent to play basketball Jay was always a leader and a very good teammate. Jarred had a very good connection with all the members of the team, both players and staff. Many times he was able to help younger players on our team to develop their skills. Team first guy and someone you really can rely on all the time."

"I had the pleasure of coaching Jarred for one season here in Finland and he was a leader both on and off the court, setting an example with his perseverance and strong work ethic. He not only continuously develops himself through dedicated training but also supports and mentors young players along their journey, which eventually led him to be our team captain during the season. On the court he is a true competitor whose desire to win and ability to inspire others made him an invaluable part of the team. Without a doubt he a someone alot of young athletes can learn a lot from."

"I first met Jarred as a competitor in 2011 and his professionalism, preparation, respect, and passion for the game of basketball were immediately evident. With a tremendous collegiate career and a professional career spanning over a decade, Jarred has gained a wealth of knowledge that he is always eager to use to help others. The success Jarred has experienced throughout his life has not come without challenges. His ability to persevere through difficult times has made him well-equipped to mentor others—not only in navigating adversity, but also in managing success while remaining a person of strong character."

" I got a chance to play with Jarred for one season and he was by far the most professional hooper I have worked with in all areas of basketball in my life. Not only does he take care of his body before and after every practice but he was calm and level headed through a turbulent season. I never saw him miss a day taking care of his body before or after any sessions. He also had elite efficiency on the offensive side of the ball and could create his shot from anywhere on the floor and is one of the best scorers I’ve played with ! The career he has been able to carve out for himself out of usports should be an inspiration to any player who loves this game and takes it seriously. There isn’t anyone else I would trust more when it comes to advice and wisdom in the game of basketball!”

"I always knew I wanted to play basketball at the highest level possible. Growing up in Winnipeg and being 5’9 already put me at a disadvantage because basketball wasn’t anywhere near as big as it is now in the city and the opportunities were always very slim because of my size. When I met Jarred he instantly took me under his wing and helped my vision of playing professional basketball at a high level become a reality. Every summer for the past 8-9 years he has let me workout with him and has showed me how to work hard, prepare and stay ready. Not not only on the court but off the court as well. Helping me have the right mentality and taught me how to be a true professional. Anyone who knows Jarred knows he is completely no non sense when it comes to basketball. It’s all about hard work, dedication, discipline and getting better each and everyday. Watching him and working with him has being extremely inspirational and a blessing, but the conversations we’ve had is what I’ll always cherish the most. We’ve become close over the years and he’s like a big brother to me. He’s always available when I need to talk and always makes sure he makes time for me when he really doesn’t have to. That just shows what kind of person he is. I’ve been truly blessed to have Jarred in my corner, he’s definitely been a big part of my growth and development and I truly don’t know how far I would’ve made it without having him as a perfect example, a mentor, and big brother."

He’s always been willing to share his insights on the game whether it be about on or off-court areas which is a great asset for athletes seeking guidance or aspiring to improve their game."

"What makes Jarred so incredibly different and invaluable is the fact that he never makes you feel like he is the biggest person in the room. The times we were able to share the same space and work alongside each other, Jarred made me feel my value and allowed me to feel seen despite all he has accomplished and continues to accomplish in his 10 plus year pro career in the top leagues all over Europe. He approaches every interaction he has with someone as an opportunity to learn just as much from them as they would learn from him; it’s what any athlete can expect if they have the opportunity to work alongside Jarred. In addition the fact that he has also experienced and learned from so many different countries, and placed himself in unfamiliar environments, is why learning from him would not just deepen your knowledge but add breadth to it; which is the kind of knowledge that will allow you to achieve mastery in your craft and the very reason why working with Jarred is a decision you will not regret taking.

"Jarred was one of the best professionals I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Even though he played with us during his rookie season and the one after, he always showed impeccable maturity and professionalism, always working to the limit. A serious person who always had a great attitude on and off the court. We always knew that, being the person he is and having the commitment he always showed in every task, he would always succeed personally and professionally. Thank you Jarred for your enormous contribution to the growth of our Club".

"I played alongside Jarred with the Winnipeg Sea Bears for one season. As a veteran on the team, he wasn’t just a leader on the court, he was a true mentor for all the younger guys like me. He led by example, showing everyone, including myself, what it meant to work hard everyday in our sessions, staying disciplined to his routine, and supporting his teammates no matter what his role on the team was. Being his roommate on the road gave me an even deeper appreciation for his professionalism. I saw firsthand how seriously he took rest, recovery, and preparation. His routine wasn’t flashy, but it was consistent and intentional which was eye-opening for a younger guy like me who didn’t really have a routine. That attention to detail taught me the value of taking care of my body and mind to perform at the highest level."

"As a first year pro Jarred has been a tremendous help to me in navigating the transition from the university level to the pro game. Not only is he an extremely skilled player but he’s just as smart and is an incredible teacher. Being able to pick his brain and ask him about different things concerning the game and how he views it has allowed me to take major strides in my game".
